The CUSEC Scavenger Hunt!

Post evidence to twitter with Evidence blah blah blah blah #teamname #CUSECscavenger. (Can make a new account if necessary. Make sure it's public.)

Dan Godfrey (UofO organizer) is the judge. If he thinks your twitter update constitutes evidence, you get the points. (You can put links to your photos, videos, etc)

Watch out for new items added to this list. (Hey, it’s a software conference — specs change all the time.)

The n00b Challenges

If you can’t get these ones, you’re probably at the wrong conference. 1pt each.

  1. identify the syntax error on the Friday night party poster
  2. display something CUSEC-related in front of a Montreal landmark
  3. give an organizer a hug
  4. find Emery Finkelstein and get him to tell you a tale from a past CUSEC
  5. shake hands with a sponsor
  6. give bunny ears to someone from another team
  7. poutine (‘nuff said)
  8. have a member from a different from a different school on your team

The l33t Challenges

Only for the hardcore. 5pts each

  1. get a picture of yourself in Mark Pavlidis’ shoes
  2. locate the mysterious joker card from the CUSEC2005 card deck
  3. successfully invite a stranger into CUSEC
  4. get Joey deVilla to mention your team name in a customized accordion song.
  5. buy Reginald Braithwaite an Americano coffee and get him to declare it “tasty.”
  6. find someone who works at IBM and sing them the “Our IBM Salesman” song.
  7. Play a game of Maniac Mansion with Douglas Crockford
  8. Find out what Dan Berry’s secret talk at CUSEC2005 was about and argue the opposing viewpoint with him.
